Howard, who has 15 caps to her name, joined the Foxes from Reading in the summer and has since helped her new side to climb to second in the FA Women's Championship.
She could be in action for the Scots in UEFA Women's EURO 2022 qualifiers against Portugal on Friday 27 November at the Estádio do Restelo in Lisbon (7pm kick-off) and a home clash with Finland on Tuesday 1 December at Easter Road in Edinburgh (7:30pm kick-off).
Shelley Kerr's side are currently third in Group E, a solitary point behind second-placed Portugal and four adrift of leaders Finland.
