Goalkeeper Sophie Harris has signed for LCFC Women in a deal until 2022, subject to league and FA approval.

The 26-year-old joins the Foxes from FA Women’s National League South side Watford Women.

Harris started her career at the Lincoln City Centre of Exellence before becoming a youth player at Arsenal, where she was part of the squad that won the FA Women’s Super League and the FA Women’s Super League Continental Tyres Cup, while she also featured for them in the UEFA Champions League.

A brief loan spell at Nottingham Forest ensued in 2013, before Harris joined London Bees. She spent four years in north-west London, making 48 appearances for the side in all competitions.

Harris signed for Brighton & Hove Albion Women in 2018 and then spent a short time on loan at Lewes Women, before joining the Golden Girls in July 2020.

The talented goalkeeper has also represented England at Under-20 level and will now link up with LCFC Women ahead of their FA Women’s Championship encounter against Sheffield United Women on Sunday 10 January (2pm kick-off).
