Buoyed by a 10-game unbeaten streak in all competitions, including seven league victories, Morgan spoke about how the good mood within the camp continues to grow.
The winter break did little to stifle the momentum built up pre-Christmas, with six points taken from two league games in 2021, as well as securing a spot in the Continental Tyres League Cup Semi-Finals.
And following back-to-back away games, he admits it will be nice to return to the home comforts of Farley Way Stadium this weekend.
"It's been extremely positive, in all honesty, since the turn of the year, it's been massively positive," LCFC Women's manager commented. "I think that's been shown in our performances over the last three games where we've had to really dig deep for three victories.
"The girls had a day off but came in really refreshed and ready to go again. The environment has just been a joy to be in because of how happy everyone is at the moment.
"Quorn is our fortress. I don't believe we've lost there, we've only drawn one game there, when we dropped points against Durham, drawing 2-2, but I think other than that everything else has been a victory.
"Hopefully we can add to that and it'll just be nice to be back in familiar surroundings and back in our home environment rather than all the travelling up and down the motorway."
Fresh from the 2-1 victory at Liverpool, City hold a three-point lead over Durham at the top of the FA Women's Championship standings, with seven games remaining.
However, Morgan is determined to avoid allowing any complacency to set in, as he knows the season is far from over yet.
He continued: "In our team meeting this week, the main message I said to the team was not to get complacent. Remain professional, keep working hard in training, don't become arrogant.
"Because yes, we've got ourselves in a brilliant position, but the job's not done and it just takes one game to swing the momentum in Durham's favour and all of a sudden the league can look very different.
"So we've just got to keep working hard, remain focused, doing what we know we can do throughout the rest of the games."
LCFC Women's opponents for the second time in three games, Crystal Palace, provided a stern test in the League Cup a week ago and, although the Foxes eventually prevailed thanks to Natasha Flint's stunning late winner, Morgan believes that game shows just how difficult Sunday could be.
"Dean [Davenport] set his team up brilliantly against us in the Conti Cup and highlighted that we can be frustrated, which is something we've worked on since then," Morgan added.
"I think he's done a fabulous job with their girls this season and they're a really competitive team who are very dangerous on the counter attack, which is something we have to be aware of.
"Hopefully Sunday will come and we'll be ready for them, but going by the previous encounter, it's going to be a very competitive game and it's going to be a tight game - one we won't be taking lightly."
