Four significant figures from the Everton and Leicester City camps have previewed Wednesday’s Premier League clash at Goodison Park.

- Carlo Ancelotti, Brendan Rodgers, Yerry Mina and Wesley Fofana speak prior to Wednesday’s match
- The Foxes head to Goodison Park for a Premier League match against Everton (8:15pm kick-off)
- Live coverage of the match will begin at 6:45pm on LCFC Radio

Both sides enter the fixture with an Emirates FA Cup triumph under their belt, thanks to City’s 3-1 win at Brentford, and Everton’s 3-0 success over Sheffield Wednesday.

With Leicester hoping to make it six consecutive wins in all competitions, and Everton in good form themselves, both managers, and a player from each dressing room, have given their thoughts ahead of the match.

The Italian has now spent over a year in charge of Everton.

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti told the media on Tuesday: “We’ve started well, this part of the season. We play good football. It was a good result [against Sheffield Wednesday]. Now, we have a different kind of game, much more difficult. It’s an important test for us. Leicester is one of the top teams in the Premier League and we have a good memory of the last game that we played against them. I think it was our best game that we played this season. For this reason, we have confidence."

Brendan Rodgers' side have had to contend with a string of long-term injuries in 2020/21.

Speaking about his squad, Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers said: “I've said it many times, (picking a starting XI) is the most difficult job, especially when you have top-class professionals and I'm just thankful, with all the injuries we've had, that they are back and available and getting game time. They all know that all of them are required. The same XI won't play in every single game between now and the end of the season. The players respect the spirit of the team.”

Yerry Mina has scored three times in all competitions for Everton this term.

Discussing Everton's form, Colombia international Yerry Mina told evertonfc.com: "We have the same feeling when we go on the field: confidence mixed with a huge desire to win. That is what you get when you start playing well and picking up good results. It is a good start… but it is something you have to build on. You can’t let your guard down at any time. You have to play each game as if it’s going to be your last. If you go in with that attitude and desire, things keep moving in the right direction.”

Wesley Fofana has been an integral member of the squad since his move to Leicester City in the summer.

Centre-back Wesley Fofana said ahead of the game: “They came to King Power Stadium and went away with three points, so we’ve got to go into this match to set the record straight. We know we’re playing a very good team, but we’re absolutely determined to go there and win, and I hope that’s what will happen. We can learn from the errors that we made in that game (2-0 loss to Everton in December), which is why we can’t be sloppy and give away chances defensively.”
