Wednesday’s Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round clash between Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion has been previewed by significant figures from both camps.

- Leicester City welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to King Power Stadium for the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round tie (7:30pm GMT kick-off)
- Brendan Rodgers, Graham Potter, Luke Thomas, Christian Walton speak to the media prior to Wednesday’s encounter

- Live coverage of the fixture on Filbert Way will start at 6pm on LCFC Radio

Both sides have triumphed over lower league opposition in the previous two rounds, and also picked up a point apiece in their last Premier League fixture. Brighton secured a 1-1 draw with Burnley, while the Foxes played out a goalless draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The managers, and a player from each dressing room, have given their pre-match thoughts ahead of kick-off at King Power Stadium, with a place in the quarter-finals of the competition at stake.

Brendan Rodgers is eager to go as far as possible in the Emirates FA Cup this season.

Speaking about competing on several fronts this season, Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers commented: “We were disappointment when we went out of the League Cup at the beginning of the season. We’d had a lot of injuries, but the next competition was the FA Cup. We want to do well. We’re in a good position in the Europa League and a decent position in the domestic league, so we just have to attack every competition, do the best we can, and see where it takes us at the end of the season."

The former Swansea City manager has overseen Albion's excellent recent run of form in the Premier League.

Brighton manager Graham Potter spoke of his admiration for his opposite number in his pre-match press conference on Monday: “Leicester are having an amazing season. Brendan Rodgers is a top coach and they have got some wonderful players. They have also got a depth of squad because they have recruited well and have a togetherness so when they're not playing their strongest XI they can still compete at a really high level. Whatever team comes at us, they will be a top team.”

The Foxes defender has been training with his teammates at LCFC Training Ground ahead of the cup clash against Brighton.

City full-back Luke Thomas told LCFC TV ahead of the game: “As a team, we’re all really excited for the game. Obviously, it’s the fifth round, so if we can go on to win and get through to the quarter-finals, it’ll be the second year running where we’ve got there. We’re all really excited and we’re battling for a trophy. We all really want a trophy, and to win a competition, so if we keep going well, and keep hopefully winning games and give it our all out there on Wednesday, hopefully we’ll get through to the next round."

The shot-stopper featured against Blackpool in the previous round of the competition.

Albion goalkeeper Christian Walton discussed the club's recent form with brightonandhovealbion.com: “It was good to play in the last round and be back in the squad and it's been a positive few weeks performance and results wise, hopefully we can carry that into tonight's game. Leicester are going into this on the back of some good results as well and might rotate their team. But whoever plays, it will still be a high quality Premier League side. It's a big test for us, but we're looking forward to trying to get into the next round.”
