Manager Brendan Rodgers says Leicester City have no new injury concerns, other than the seven players to currently be out, following Wednesday's Premier League action at Burnley.

- Brendan Rodgers discussed Leicester City's current injury situation on Thursday
- The Foxes face Brighton & Hove Albion at AMEX Stadium on Saturday (8pm kick-off)
- James Maddison is continuing his recovery from a hip issue, but isn't ready to return to action
- Rodgers also confirmed Wesley Fofana is available for selection in Falmer at the weekend

After Wednesday's 1-1 draw at Turf Moor, the Foxes have a second successive away game in the Premier League on Saturday as they head to AMEX Stadium to tackle Brighton & Hove Albion (8pm kick-off).

James Maddison remains out with a hip issue and Rodgers says the Club is hesitant to put a fixed timeline on his return as a number of factors will contribute to his recovery over the coming weeks.

"We’ve got a clean bill of health from last night," the Northern Irishman initially confirmed on Thursday.

"[Maddison is] still continuing with the medical team. As I’ve always said with James, there’s no timeline on it, we’re just hoping that gradually he'll feel better. He’s had the reassurance of a few scans to know that he doesn’t need any operation.

"It’s just a little bit irritable where he’s had a previous operation, but we’re hopeful that, over these next weeks, he will get better and it’ll be great to have him in the squad again."

Obviously, when you’re missing the talent and the quality they bring, of course the game looks different, in terms of how you play.

Maddison is one of seven first team players to currently be absent for the Foxes, but Rodgers says the mentality which his side showed at Burnley will be key for the squad to overcome the challenge.

Harvey Barnes (knee), Jonny Evans (calf), James Justin (ACL), Ayoze Pérez (knee), Dennis Praet (hamstring) and Wes Morgan (back) are also out, while Wesley Fofana returned from a hamstring issue during the second half at Turf Moor.

"With the players we have, with the introduction of some young players, we’re looking at different systems and different ways," Rodgers added. "Obviously, when you’re missing the talent and the quality they bring, of course the game looks different, in terms of how you play.

"But we’ve got a really, really good group of players that have a great spirit and we saw that last night in the game. When you go away to Burnley, it’s always going to be a tough game.

"It’s going to be hard-fought and we came away from there with the point and we’ll move onto our next game. We’ll look to bring everything into the next game against Brighton."

Fofana is available for selection again, Rodgers added, after coming through Wednesday's test in Lancashire, but none of the other current absentees are ready to feature on the south coast.

"In terms of Wesley, he was excellent," the 48-year-old continued. "We wanted to get him on to try and get half an hour at least into his legs last night and he came through it very well. He had another hour of training this morning, which was really good, so he looks fine and available for the weekend.

"In terms of any other players, there will be none who will be back for the weekend."
