Leicester City's Under-18s recorded an impressive 5-1 league victory over Aston Villa Under-18s at LCFC Training Ground on Tuesday evening.

Bouncing back emphatically from defeat to Fulham in their previous U18 Premier League South fixture, the young Foxes were ruthless in their approach against their near-neighbours.

Wales youth international forward Will Russ got the ball rolling with the opener on 22 minutes, assisted by Jesper Kutshienza.

Zach Booth sneaked in a second just before the interval and Aaron O'Reilly's own goal less than a minute after the restart made it 3-0 to the increasingly dominant hosts.

A fourth was added by Brandon Cover, set up by Oliver Ewing on 69 minutes, ahead of Dewain Sewell's late consolation for the visitors.

There was still time for Cover to net his second of the evening, played through by Henry Cartwright in the final minute of normal time, to wrap up a convincing victory for the young Foxes.

City's Under-18s remain 12th in the U18 Premier League South table on 14 points from 22 matches, four clear of bottom side Southampton.

Next up, they welcome West Ham United Under-18s to LCFC Training Ground on Saturday 8 May (12pm BST kick-off) in the penultimate fixture of the campaign.
