Heskey, who won 62 caps for his country and scored 110 Premier League goals, has passed on his expertise and experience to the players throughout the season, who have found the net a league-high 54 times in 20 games this term.
City also broke a Championship record on their way to their first-ever second tier title, winning 12 consecutive games.
And Leicester-born Heskey was delighted to see the Foxes add another four goals to their tally and finish the 2020/21 season off in style, beating Charlton Athletic Women 4-0 on the final day.
"You've got to be proud of the girls, they've done fantastic," the former England international told LCFC TV after the champions' coronation on Filbert Way. "For the season that we've had, our first year, you're tentatively not really knowing what you're going to achieve during the season.
"But the manager and the coaching staff and the girls have been fantastic this year and capped it off in this game, but not just this game, but the games to go up.
"We obviously went on the run of winning 12 games and 13 games in all competitions, which is a league record. So to do that, then cap it off here, which is a massive, massive day for them, it's huge."
The former Leicester City striker has been a key figure in LCFC Women's transition to become a professional outfit, helping to support the development of the women’s game.
Reflecting on his first season within women's football, Heskey believes it is an incredible accomplishment to gain promotion in the Club's first full-time season. The 43-year-old is already looking ahead to the prospect of the Foxes playing in the Barclays FA Women's Super League for the first time.
"This is up there with the best of them," he continued, referencing the scale of the achievement. "I said this to the girls, actually. I said a massive thank you to them because I now can say I'm a league winner. So it's huge for me, it's huge for the Club and it's huge for the girls.
"Again, we don't know if any of them are ever going to say that they're going to win another league title. So they've got to take that on board on, saviour the day and savour this year that we've had.
"It's absolutely huge and hats off to them because again, it's been a tough, long season. A lot of ups and downs, but they've grinded on, got the results that they needed to get to the WSL.
"Yes, we've got to kick on from there and again, we'll have to forge a plan to get to the top, but that's where we want to be. We're not just going to be competing.
"They've been fantastic. It's a great bunch of girls who have been fantastic for me personally. This is the first year I've been in the women's side of football and they've taken me in and I've enjoyed every minute of it."
