The Club's friendly fixture schedule began on Saturday with a 0-0 draw at Burton Albion, followed by a 3-1 penalty reverse as part of the Bass Charity Vase, and Dewsbury-Hall featured for 45 minutes during the Staffordshire encounter.

The Academy graduate, who impressed on loan at Luton Town last term, netted Leicester's only successful penalty at Pirelli Stadium and returned to the East Midlands content with his contribution for the Foxes.

Reflecting on his spot-kick, the 22-year-old told LCFC TV: "I was a bit nervous because we didn't get off to the best of starts, but with penalties, I just pick my spot and just go for it. I don't change my mind. I don't lay back.

"I just try and get a nice clean strike and then I back my ability to put in the back of the net and that's what happened so I was happy. Personally, I’m hoping to get more minutes under my belt, to keep ticking along and get myself in the best shape possible for when the Premier League starts.

"If I’m called upon, I'm going to be ready to get that chance. And as a team, we're just going to be looking to continue working together, continue to get those patterns and be more comfortable with each other."

Dewsbury-Hall has also been pleased with the growing cohesion on display amid City's first team squad, especially following the signings of Patson Daka, Boubakary Soumaré and Ryan Bertrand.

"We've got a couple of lads coming back and, by the end of it, we will all be in a nice rhythm entwined with each other, so we're all ready to go," he added. "That's the plan. We haven't got that long, but we're going to be working really hard, ready for the start of the start of the season.

"[The new signings have] settled in fantastically. The lads have warmed to them straight away. They're a great bunch of lads. Ryan [Bertrand’s] brought in great experience. He's a top lad and a top player, and we've got Patson [Daka] and Bouba [Soumaré] who are young lads.

"They want to really work hard and they’ve settled in great. They're great lads to be a part of the dressing room, and I look forward to playing with them, and I'm sure the fans will look forward to watching them."
