LCFC Women travelled to take on Coventry United Ladies in a behind-closed-doors friendly at the Midlands club’s training ground on Friday afternoon.

A selection of players from LCFC Women’s squad took part in the pre-season exercise away to the Red and Greens, who will play in the FA Women’s Championship once more during the 2021/22 season.

It allowed for members of the squad to get further vital minutes under their belts as preparation intensifies for the new Barclays FA Women’s Super League season, which is now just two weeks away.

The Foxes, newly promoted after winning the second-tier title for the first time in the Club’s history last term, have already tackled current top-flight champions Chelsea Women during their pre-season schedule.

And following recent friendly fixtures at home to Championship sides Liverpool Women and Sheffield United Women, Leicester also welcomed Birmingham City Women to Belvoir Drive earlier this week.

A fine tuning of tactics and strategies will continue ahead of LCFC Women’s maiden WSL campaign beginning against Aston Villa on Saturday 4 September - a 12:30pm BST kick-off at Banks’s Stadium in Walsall.
