The Foxes visit Carrow Road in their second away fixture of the new Premier League season after suffering a defeat by West Ham United at London Stadium on Monday. With so little time to reflect on that result, Thomas believes all focus is now on putting in a more rounded display in East Anglia.

The Canaries lost their opening two matches of 2021/22, but secured an impressive 6-0 triumph over Sky Bet Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth in the second round of the Carabao Cup in midweek. However, Academy graduate Thomas insists Leicester will be ready for the challenge.

"If you look at it and reflect, we weren’t at our best on Monday at all," the 20-year-old told LCFC TV. "We’ve looked at some of the things we can improve on. We’ve also looked at it in training and there’s always a benefit. We can learn from what didn’t go well and put that into Saturday.

"Hopefully we can get the three points. With games coming so fast in the Premier League, playing on Monday and then on Saturday, it’s only five days to recover before you’ve got another game, you have to forget about it and put it to the back of your mind.

They will have confidence after the win in midweek, but if we go there and show the qualities we have, I know we can get three points and hopefully we’ll go there on Saturday and do that.

"Obviously, for a couple of days, you’re going to reflect, but now we’re looking to focus and go into Saturday with a fresh mind and show what we’ve got. We just look to approach it in our own way. We know the qualities we have and, if we’re at our best, we know we can get the win.

"They will have confidence after the win in midweek, but if we go there and show the qualities we have, I know we can get three points and hopefully we’ll go there on Saturday and do that.

"We might have most of the possession of the ball, so we have to show our qualities and prove to people, the fans, why teams look at us as a big side now. Hopefully we’ll get the three points."

Still one of the younger members of Brendan Rodgers' squad, Thomas has benefitted from the influence and guidance provided by the Club's more senior professionals. He also revealed that Ryan Bertrand in particular has been on hand for detailed tactical discussions at LCFC Training Ground.

"It’s great having experience around you," the England youth international continued, speaking in the King Power Centre in Seagrave. "With them playing so many Premier League games, they understand the game inside out, so you can learn from them each day, which I do in training.

"I speak to Ryan quite often. I spoke to him this morning about the game on Monday which was good. We spoke about the things I could have done better and which the team could have done better too.

"It’s great to have players like that with such experience to learn from. I went up to him and asked him what he thought of the game. Obviously, he was at home, watching on TV.

"He saw the game and understood what was happening. He explained to me what he thought. I had my points, he had his, and we learned from each other, which is great. We get the best out of each other going into the games and that’s what we need to get to where we want to be this season."
