Leicester City striker Patson Daka has been named UEFA Europa League Player of the Week.

- Leicester City's Patson Daka wins UEFA Europa League Player of the Week
- The Zambia international scored four goals against Spartak Moscow
- City came from behind to win 4-3 in the Russian capital
- He became the first Foxes player in 63 years to net four goals in a single game

The 23-year-old scored all of City’s goals in their 4-3 win away at Spartak Moscow in Group C of the competition on Wednesday night. That made him the first Foxes player to do so for the Club since Derek Hines in a 6-3 victory over Aston Villa in November 1958.

He was one of four players up for the award, including West Ham United’s Issa Diop, Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne and Lyon’s Karl Toko Ekambi.

Speaking after the game, Daka told LCFC TV: "[It’s a] very emotional night for me. It’s so hard to describe in words, to be honest. I’m just thanking God to be in this position today and I’m just happy that I was able to help the team, which was very, very important. It’s a great performance from the team."

That feat in Moscow followed his first strike for Leicester in the Premier League during last Saturday's 4-2 victory over Manchester United at King Power Stadium. City are next in top-flight action against Brentford in west London on Sunday afternoon (2pm BST kick-off).
