The midfielder could be back in action on Tuesday evening when the Turin-based side travel to face AC Milan at San Siro on matchday 10 of the league campaign (7:45pm kick-off). Torino currently sit 12th in the standings on 11 points.

In England, meanwhile, Danish goalkeeper Daniel Iversen played 90 minutes for Preston North End but could not prevent the Lilywhites falling to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of local rivals Blackpool on Saturday.

Keshi Anderson and Gary Madine scored in either half to leave Frankie McAvoy’s side 19th in the Sky Bet Championship ahead of hosting Luton Town on Saturday (3pm kick-off). Before that, though, Preston entertain Liverpool in the Carabao Cup Fourth Round on Wednesday (7:45pm kick-off).

A brace from George Miller, either side of George Williams’ leveller for Barrow, looked to have handed the Saddlers all three points, but for former Fox Josh Gordon’s equaliser deep into stoppage time.

Walsall, 14th in the League 2 standings after 14 matches, tackle Sutton United at Borough Sports Ground on Saturday 30 October (3pm kick-off).
