Leicester City Football Club Ambassador, Alan Birchenall, said: “It’s great for us to be hosting the COVID-19 vaccination clinics once again at King Power Stadium this weekend.

“It’s important for us all to remember that COVID-19 has not gone away, so it’s vital that anyone who is eligible for a vaccine comes forward to have one, whether it be their first, second, third or booster dose.”

People aged 18 and over can have the second vaccine dose eight weeks after their first dose. Those aged 12 to 17 can have the second dose 12 weeks after their first dose.

A third ‘top-up’ dose is offered to those aged over 12 who were severely immunosuppressed at the time of their first or second dose. You will be contacted by the NHS if you need a third dose, so please bring proof of your eligibility if you attend a clinic for this dose.

You can have a booster if you are aged 16 or over or if you are aged 12 to 15 and you are extremely clinically vulnerable, or if you live with an adult who is extremely clinically vulnerable. The booster is given at least three months after your second dose.

Detailed information about the vaccine and who is currently eligible can be found on the national NHS website HERE.
