The Foxes head into the clash at St. Andrew's Trillion Trophy Stadium on a high after enjoying a 3-1 victory over fellow WSL outfit Tottenham Hotspur in the Vitality Women's FA Cup. It's a return to league duties on Sunday, however, against immediate challengers at the bottom.

City will be boosted by a positive fitness update from the manager, who was speaking at Belvoir Drive on Thursday. Leicester have added no new players to the injury list, while another has returned, after picking up a mild illness.

"That player's fully available," Bedford confirmed. "It turned out that was probably a false [COVID-19] positive as well, but we just managed it in the best way to keep the squad as safe as possible. We've got everyone ready and raring to go. There's nothing additional (on the injury front)."

Bedford has been thrilled with the players' application in training while she is also enthused by the competition for places which is evident in sessions.

"I think they definitely came in on Tuesday with a real energy about them and that's been maintained throughout all the training this week," she added. "It's felt lively, it's felt energetic. It feels really competitive in terms of the numbers we've had in training. We've joked about having 12 vs. 12.

"We really feel like we've got a good energy about what the girls are doing and lots of players, so lots of competition."
