Leicester City's Under-18s suffered a first league defeat since September on Saturday as Crystal Palace emerged as 2-1 winners in the capital.

The young Foxes headed to Crystal Palace Training Ground on the back of 11 successive games unbeaten in U18 Premier League South. Fionn Mooney, though, put the Eagles ahead just after the half-hour mark, a lead the home side would hold until the interval.

They doubled that advantage with just 12 minutes to go as well, through Kaden Rodney. Although Chris Popov was able to get one back for Leicester's youngsters, it wasn't to be for the team coached by Adam Barradell. City fall to fifth in the standings, seven points adrift of top, with a game in hand.

It's a fourth away game in a row for the Club's Under-18s next time out, on Tuesday, when they head to Aston Villa (11am kick-off), before hosting Brighton & Hove Albion at LCFC Training Ground next Saturday (12pm kick-off).
