Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers says Jamie Vardy could feature against Roma in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League.

- Jamie Vardy will be considered for selection this week, says manager Brendan Rodgers
- Leicester City host Roma in the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday

- Rodgers also reveals Boubakary Soumaré is available, while Eldin Jakupović is out

The Italian outfit visit Filbert Way for a first-leg tie on Thursday (8pm BST kick-off) as both sides look to secure a place in the inaugural competition's final against either Marseille or Feyenoord. Vardy returned from the bench for last weekend's goalless stalemate with Aston Villa after a knee complaint.

While goalkeeper Eldin Jakupović won't be in contention for the squad, Boubakary Soumaré could return, Rodgers said on Wednesday. Wilfred Ndidi and Ryan Bertrand, meanwhile, are the only long-term absentees before the Club's first-ever European semi-final with knee issues of their own.

"Thankfully the injury list is right down," Rodgers confirmed on Wednesday. "There’s nothing new to add. Boubakary Soumaré will come back into the squad. It’s only Wilf and Ryan Bertrand that are the two long-term ones. Eldin is out as well, but apart from that, we’ve virtually got everyone ready."

On Vardy's possible inclusion, the Northern Irishman added: "He’ll be in the squad. It’s the emotion of everyone. It’s important our pressing and aggression is there from the top of the field. Whoever that is, they will play an important role in that. It’s that mix of emotion in the game and the quality too.

"He's a top player. He has that street-wise element, that cuteness in the game, and of course his experience. That's a big plus for us."
