Daka's well-taken finish came after an opener from Vitalii Mykolenko for the Toffees and before Mason Holgate's winner at King Power Stadium. Behind at the interval, City dominated possession for large spells in the second period, but struggled to break down Frank Lampard's visitors.
Speaking after scoring his 11th goal for the Club, but ending on the wrong side of the scoreline, the Zambia international outlined his frustration.
"It’s very disappointing," he told LCFC TV. "The most disappointing part is that we had control of the game. We did everything right, until the set piece, which is the most frustrating part for us. We started really well. I think it’s something we have done for the past few games, starting well.
"Football is a game of chances, so if you don’t take your chances and the other team does take their chances… whoever takes their chances will win the game. The way we played the game, the result doesn’t go hand in hand with that. It’s so frustrating for us."
Leicester ended the 90 minutes having made 622 passes compared to Everton's 330, but the score reflects their lack of potency in attack. Daka says he and his team-mates will continue to work hard to improve their attacking record over the coming weeks.
"I think we did a lot of things right," he added. "We had so many shots on target, but credit to their goalkeeper. He had a brilliant game, he made good saves. It wasn’t our day to score. Their goalkeeper saved the shots we had.
"We tried everything we could, but at the end of the day, we have to pick ourselves up and make sure we focus on what is coming ahead of us. We have to learn from this game and focus on what is coming on Wednesday.
"I have to continue working to find myself in the right positions to score many goals to help the team. One wasn’t enough for the team, so we have to continue working hard and getting more goals. We haven’t really been getting goals in recent games, so we have to work on that as well."
Daka's goal came about in peculiar circumstances as Yerry Mina and Séamus Coleman collided, allowing the former RB Salzburg man to convert past Pickford. The 23-year-old was pleased to add to his Foxes tally, but admits the result takes away from the satisfaction.
"You have to expect anything to happen, so in that moment I was just ready to pounce on everything that came my way," Daka continued. "I was ready to attack the ball.
"When I saw both of them were going for the ball, I just had to make sure I was not in line with them and frame myself and fortunately the ball came towards me. I just had to stay calm and finish it. I’m happy I’m on the scoresheet, but I’m not satisfied. It wasn’t enough today."
