Five Players Set To Depart LCFC Women

LCFC Women can confirm that five players will depart the Football Club this summer, following the expiration of their contracts at the end of the 2021/22 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season.

- A number of players will leave LCFC Women this summer after the expiration of their contracts
- Esmee De Graaf, Paige Bailey-Gayle and Sophie Harris among those to depart the Football Club
- Abbi Grant and Luana Zajmi are also leaving after spending the second half of the season on loan

Esmee De Graaf, Paige Bailey-Gayle, Sophie Harris, Abbi Grant and Luana Zajmi all leave LCFC Women with the best wishes and gratitude of everybody at the Club after helping the team retain its top-flight status in its first-ever WSL campaign.

De Graaf, 24, who joined the Foxes in 2020, has been a mainstay of the team this season and leaves to return home to her native Netherlands ahead of the new season, while Jamaica international Bailey-Gayle, 20, departs after three seasons with the Foxes.

Goalkeeper Harris, 27, who joined the Foxes from Watford in 2021, will also leave alongside striker Grant, 26 and midfielder Zajmi, 20 – who each spent the second half of the season with Glasgow City and Blackburn Rovers respectively.

The Football Club wishes all five players the very best for their future careers and thanks them for their contributions to what has been a historic period for LCFC Women and the development of the game in Leicestershire.
