The Championship side, who finished 13th in the league under manager Ryan Lowe last season, will form the opposition for the fixture, which will be available to follow live on LCFC.com and LCFC TV.

It has also now been confirmed that Brendan Rodgers’ side will begin their pre-season against Notts County on Saturday 9 July in a behind-closed-doors friendly at LCFC Training Ground in Seagrave (1pm kick-off).

The fixtures are the latest confirmed dates in City’s pre-season plans following the announcement of a clash against OH Leuven at King Power At Den Dreef Stadion on Saturday 16 July (1pm kick-off).

Ticket details for the fixtures away to Preston will be confirmed in due course, while tickets for the OHL game go on sale from Thursday 16 June on the Belgian side’s website.
