The Foxes welcome the Villans to King Power Stadium for a 3pm kick-off on matchday two of the 2022/23 campaign, having narrowly lost out 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend.

And City are likely to name the same squad that faced the Lilywhites, with goalkeeper Demi Lambourne and defender Abbie McManus remaining out of contention for the visit of Carla Ward’s side.

Long-term injuries to Hannah Cain, Jess Sigsworth (both ACL) and Lachante Paul keep the trio out of action, meanwhile, but there are no fresh worries to contend with following last Sunday’s fixture.

We’ve got an ongoing management with Demi Lambourne at the moment in terms of an injury that she sustained in the last few weeks of pre-season.

“We’ve no different ones to last week,” Bedford confirmed to the media in Thursday afternoon’s pre-match press conference at Belvoir Drive. “The same players that were available for last weekend are still available for this weekend.

“We’ve got an ongoing management with Demi Lambourne at the moment in terms of an injury that she sustained in the last few weeks of pre-season, and that’s an ongoing one that is similar with Abbie McManus.

“Other than that, everyone from last weekend is available again.”
