Ndidi's international break was cut short as the Nigeria international returned to Leicester with a knock, while Praet has also been monitored over recent weeks with an issue of his own. Forest visit King Power Stadium on Monday for the first top-flight encounter between the two sides since 1999.
"We had Wilfred Ndidi come back early," Rodgers confirmed on Friday. "He’s looking really positive and trained this morning so hopefully he will be fine. Dennis Praet had few days where he was struggling, but he came through the last few days well and looked good in training so we’re okay."
Although City have not faced Forest in the Premier League in 23 years, they did meet last term, in Nottingham, in the Emirates FA Cup. Rodgers, though, is determined to oversee a much-improved performance and result on Monday evening.
He explained: "This is a new game, a new season, and the players will be ready for it and we'll look to get the result that we want."
