Leicester City will be without central midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Papy Mendy for Saturday's visit to AFC Bournemouth, says Brendan Rodgers.

- Leicester City face AFC Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off)
- The Foxes overcame Nottingham Forest 4-0 at King Power Stadium earlier on in midweek
- Wilfred Ndidi (hamstring) and Papy Mendy (knee) will miss the Cherries game, says Brendan Rodgers

Ndidi started for the Foxes in Monday's 4-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest while Mendy hasn't featured since the shootout Carabao Cup success at Stockport County in August. Both players are not expected to be available for selection in the 3pm kick-off at Vitality Stadium on Saturday.

Nigeria international Ndidi is expected to miss 'a few weeks' with a hamstring strain, with Senegal midfielder Mendy suffering an issue with his knee in training.

He recovered well but he felt it at half-time in the game and he was a little sore, so he might miss a few weeks.

Brendan Rodgers on Wilfred Ndidi

"The team is looking very good," Rodgers told the national media in side the King Power Centre at LCFC Training Ground on Thursday. "We’re delighted with Monday night and we’re looking to our next game. In terms of the squad, Wilfred Ndidi will probably be out for a little bit.

"He came back from international duty with a hamstring strain. He recovered well but he felt it at half-time in the game and he was a little sore, so he might miss a few weeks. Papy Mendy has an issue with his knee so may struggle for the weekend but everyone else should be fine."

Later elaborating on Mendy's condition, the Northern Irishman added: "It was just a clash of knees in training. The doctor and medical team said this morning it’ll be highly unlikely for him be involved at the weekend but hopefully he’ll be back after that."
