Leicester City stars Patson Daka and Wilfred Ndidi saw international action for Zambia and Nigeria respectively on Thursday evening.

- Leicester City's Patson Daka featured in Zambia's 4-2 loss in Israel on Thursday evening
- Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also appeared for Nigeria in a 4-0 reverse in Portugal
- Çağlar Söyüncü's Turkey will entertain Czech Republic on Saturday

Daka played the full 90 minutes for Chipolopolo as they suffered a 4-2 away defeat by Israel at HaMoshava Stadium. Tai Baribo and Dean David put the home side into a two-goal lead, before a stirring comeback from Zambia which included goals from Kings Kangwa and Larry Bwalya.

An Emmanuel Banda own goal and Itamar Shviro's late strike, though, consigned Daka and his international colleagues to defeat. It was a similarly disappointing night for Ndidi and Nigeria too, as the Super Eagles fell to a 4-0 loss to Portugal at José Alvalade Stadium in Lisbon.

A first-half brace from Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes got the UEFA EURO 2016 winners up and running, while Gonçalo Ramos and João Mário also found the net later on. Youngster Reece Evans, meanwhile, was a 58th-minute substitute as Northern Ireland U18 lost 2-0 to Austria U18s.

The pre-Qatar 2022 international friendly action concludes on Saturday night as Çağlar Söyüncü's Turkey host Czech Republic (5pm kick-off).
