Iheanacho, a Nigeria international, wins the POTS prize after netting eight goals for the Foxes over the course of the past season, including strikes in wins over Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Timothy Castagne, on the other hand, was selected by his team-mates to pick up the Men’s Players’ Player of the Season award. The Belgium full-back made 42 appearances for City this term – more than any other player – scoring twice.
Leitzig only joined LCFC Women in January, on loan from Bayern Munich, but has made a superb impact on Willie Kirk’s side, who sealed survival in the Barclays Women’s Super League last weekend. Over 13 outings, the German stopper helped City’s Women overturn a seven-point deficit at the base of the WSL table and finish the season in 10th – their highest-ever finish.
The Germany youth international collected both the Women’s Player of the Season and the Women’s Players’ Player of the Season awards.
At Academy level, winger Tawanda Maswanhise has been chosen as the Club’s Men’s Development Squad Player of the Season. The talented forward struck seven goals in Premier League 2 Division 1 last term. Amani Richards, meanwhile, takes home the Men’s Academy Player of the Season trophy. He netted 12 goals in the U18 Premier League South.
Youngster Denny Draper has also been named Women’s Academy Player of the Season after helping the Club’s Women’s Academy Team to finish seventh in the FA WSL Academy League.
