Leicester City's Development Squad defeated Leeds United 2-0 in Premier League 2 on Monday evening.

Moving on quickly from the disappointment of losing out in Friday's Premier League Cup last-16 clash at Crystal Palace, the Foxes youngsters returned to PL2 action at LCFC Training Ground.

The only change from that narrow defeat saw forward Amani Richards, having found the net as a substitute three days ago, named in the starting XI, with Kian Pennant dropping to the bench.

It was another attacking threat who did the damage during a blistering opening period in Seagrave, with Silko Thomas, having recently made an appearance in the First Team matchday squad, opening the scoring inside a quarter of an hour.

Thomas firing in one of his two goals in Seagrave.

The youngster doubled the Foxes' lead in first-half stoppage-time, assisted by Richards, and put the game beyond the Whites, with City leapfrogging their opponents in the table following Monday's result.

Currently placed 22nd in the 26-team standings, Leicester's next league outing is away to Everton this Friday, taking on the Toffees in a 7pm GMT kick-off in Southport.
