The Sky Bet Championship leaders visit MKM Stadium to tackle Hull City on Saturday as the season reaches the final 10 games. Vardy's 13th-minute header was the difference on Tuesday to seal a 26th league win of 2023/24.

Speaking ahead of another trip north, to Hull, Maresca evaluated the options available to him. Jannik Vestergaard's two-game suspension is also now elapsed, while Kasey McAteer and Dennis Praet remain out through injury.

He played the other day and he didn’t train with us in the next two days, so we’ll see this afternoon.

"Kasey is still out," the Manager said. "It’s the same problem he had already in the past. It’s a bit less than the previous one, so hopefully we can have him back in two, three or four weeks.

"The only one is Jamie. After the Sunderland game, he didn’t train with us. It’s nothing important, he just needs to rest a little bit. Today we’ll see if he’s available for this session. It’s just a matter, with Jamie, to manage him because of the age.

"He played the other day and he didn’t train with us in the next two days, so we’ll see this afternoon. Dennis Praet is still out injured and that’s it."

Conor Coady came into the XI in midweek to help City to a big three points at Sunderland, but with Vestergaard back in contention, Maresca will have a selection headache ahead of Hull.

"It’s always difficult, not only now," the Italian added. "Conor played and we won. Also in the past, when he was out, he’s an important player for us. He’s doing a fantastic job inside the pitch and outside the pitch.

"The important thing is that all of them are available and we can chose."
