Leicester City winger hopes his impressive performance provided an entertaining spectacle for the Club’s fans.
The Blue Army watched on at King Power Stadium as the City wideman dodged challenges and tormented Stoke defenders with his darting runs in an electric display on the wing.
Gray gave both the experienced Glen Johnson and right-sided centre half Ryan Shawcross a particularly tough time and came close to finding the back of the net on a number of occasions.
Naturally eager for further involvement, at the final whistle on Saturday: “It’s been a tough season for me, being in and out [of the squad], because I just want to play games.
“I’ve just had to be patient and keep working hard and every time I get my opportunity, I just want to impact and play well.
“I’ve got to be direct and lively and get the fans lively, because the fans are like the 12th man. I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing and hopefully I can get a run of games.”
Gray went on to explain that both goals against the Potters were a pleasure to watch and hopes his side can continue their red hot run of form on Tuesday.
“They were top quality,” the England Under-21s international said of Wilfred Ndidi and Jamie Vardy’s strikes.
“I see them do it in training all the time so it’s nothing new to me. Ndidi has been vital since he’s come in and Vards (Jamie Vardy) has got his confidence and he’s scoring goals.
“Everything is looking good right now so hopefully we can keep our momentum and keep getting the points.”
