Later today, Alan ‘The Birch’ Birchenall will be backed on his 37th annual end of season run by a very special visitor to King Power Stadium, 6-year-old Leicester City supporter Dylan Jellett.

Both were saved by the use of a defibrillator on the scene. So this year, all funds raised on the day will be going towards putting more of these life-saving defibrillators in places where they can have the best possible chance of saving lives, as well as vital CPR training equipment.

Upon learning of the Birch’s epic charitable efforts, Dylan told his dad, Andrew, that he wished to join the Club’s much-loved Ambassador in doing his bit at King Power Stadium. After seeing the impact made by defibrillators in the treatment of his granddad, Dylan has raised over £800 on his JustGiving page.

Ahead of kick-off on the final day of the 2016/17 season, as the Foxes take on Bournemouth, Dylan and his dad will meet the Birch and the other runners before embarking on a gruelling 90-minute long run around the pitch.

Everyone at Leicester City Football Club would like to thank Dylan for his generous efforts and we all look forward to welcoming him to King Power Stadium.
