Academy striker Simonas Stankevicius is the latest City player to receive an international call-up after being named in the full Lithuania squad for the upcoming Baltic Cup.
The 18-year-old’s promising displays for the Academy helped see him make his senior international in November last year, in a 1-1 friendly draw against Moldova.

A powerful and skillful forward, Stankevicius has been a regular for his country’s Under-21s, but will again link up with the full squad for the Baltic Tournament in Latvia from 29-31 May.

The four-team tournament kicks off for Lithuania in Ventspils against Finland on 29 May, with the winners facing either Latvia or Estonia in the final in Liepaja two days later.

Following that, Stankevicius will again be a part of the Lithuanaia squad that will face a tricky away friendly against Poland on Friday 6 June.

Elsewhere, City stars Kasper Schmeichel, Liam Moore, Riyad Mahrez and Jeff Schlupp have also been handed call-ups for their respective nations.
