City’s Under-21 Development Squad suffered their first defeat of pre-season on Saturday afternoon against an experienced Scunthorpe United side at Glanford Park.

Steve Beaglehole’s team contributed considerably to an entertaining first half against the League 1 outfit, with Tom Hopper, Michael Cain and Jack Barmby all going close.
The young Foxes were rewarded shortly after the break when a coolly dispatched Jacob Blyth penalty put them in front, but their hosts responded strongly to take the initiative.
Miguel Llera drew the Iron level on the hour-mark, before Lyle Taylor put them in front just five minutes later.
Sean McAllister rounded off the scoring with 13 minutes to go to give Russ Wilcox’s side a morale-boosting win just a week before the start of their Sky Bet League 1 campaign.
