Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson paid his respects to those that fell victim to the First World War ahead of today’s Remembrance Day Fixture against West Brom at King Power Stadium.

The Foxes boss visited key locations in the Somme region of France for principal filming of a special documentary commissioned by Leicester City that will be released on Armistice Day on 11 November.
pays tribute to the courageous Leicester footballers that lost their lives in the First World War – something that Pearson holds close to his heart.
“Everybody comes to the stadium on the days that clubs choose as their Remembrance Fixture,” said Pearson.
“It’s something that’s quite rightly recognised publically and it gives us as a Club an opportunity to show our support, and especially this year – 2014, the centenary of the start of the First World War.
“It is a very important year in that respect but the honest answer is it has to be separated. There is a professional approach to preparing for a game of football which we do.
“I think it’s right for everybody to acknowledge the importance of remembering the Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day, particularly this year – it’s important to show our respects for people in the Armed Forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
“The perspective is that we’re talking about a game of football. The bottom line is, that happens to be my job.
“I look at it in different ways. My perspective to life is completely different to the professional perspective that I have in the sense that you’ve got to detach things.
“You know how I feel about the Remembrance Day fixture in itself, but ultimately I’ll put my manager’s hat on when it comes to dealing with the game, and that’s what it’s about.”
