Leicester City Football Club is delighted to announce that its strategic, international partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand has been renewed for a third season.
A proud supporter of the Club during its rise to English football’s top flight, the extension of the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s partnership sees the Club strengthen its relationship with a key existing sponsor on the elevated stage of the Barclays Premier League.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s distinctive ‘Amazing Thailand’ branding, which graced the back of the Club’s first team shirts during the first two years of the partnership, will feature prominently in the King Power Stadium dugouts.

The company will also be engaging directly with supporters on home matchdays, with Leicester City players set to deliver ‘Amazing Thailand’ branded mini-footballs into the King Power Stadium crowd following the pre-match warm-up at the Club’s next 10 home fixtures.

Susan Whelan, Leicester City’s Chief Executive Officer, said:“We’re absolutely thrilled to continue to work with the Tourism Authority of Thailand during the 2014/15 season. Their support in the last two years has been vital in helping us promote Leicester City to a Thai audience and in reaching our goals closer to home.

“It is important to us that we are able to build on existing relationships we have developed with key sponsors prior to the Club’s promotion and to reward their loyalty and support by making them an on-going part of our Premier League journey.”

Thawatchai Arunyik, Governor of Tourism Authority of Thailand, said:“The last two years working with Leicester City have been an amazing adventure, filled with aspiration, incredible people and some wonderful memories – qualities for which the Kingdom of Thailand itself is much loved for, making our relationship a perfect fit.

“We are very proud to be working with Leicester City and its supporters, who have embraced the Club’s increasingly strong association with Thailand and given the nation a Premier League football club its people can take to their hearts.”

The Tourism Authority of Thailand began its partnership with Leicester City at the start of the 2012/13 season, two years after the Club was taken over by Vichai and Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha – owners of Thailand’s leading travel retail group, King Power International.

The extension of its agreement will see the Tourism Authority of Thailand remain a Leicester City Platinum Partner, while also becoming the Club’s official Tourism Partner.
