Heskey Leads Foxes Mumbai Visit

Emile Heskey embarks on his first official engagement as an honorary ambassador for the LCFC Foxes Foundation this week, as part of a Club visit to India.
The former City and England striker will join a Foxes delegation for a week-long visit to Mumbai, culminating in the Barclays Premier League Live (BPL Live) event in the city on the 13/14 December.
In the week building up to BPL Live – where Premier League fans in Mumbai will be treated to the ultimate Fan Park experience – Emile and Club staff will be heading into targeted areas of Mumbai to engage with football fans, provide coaching for young people and to increase the profile of Leicester City.
Plans for the trip include visits to a Mumbai school and local sports centres endorsed by the Ryan International Group – an establishment started in Mumbai and known all over India for its high standards in education.
Emile Heskey said:“I’m really looking forward to the trip – it’s a fantastic opportunity for the Club to promote itself to an international audience during its first season back in the Premier League and a chance for the LCFC Foxes Foundation to take its charitable work to a completely new audience.
“BPL Live looks like a fantastic event that will attract an enormous number of people and it’s a great opportunity to introduce Leicester City to a new Premier League audience.”

Barclays Premier League Live (BPL Live) will offer fans in India the opportunity to watch live matches broadcast on a 380-square-foot screen, meet legends of the Barclays Premier League and get close to the iconic Barclays Premier League Trophy.
This unique experience, at the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) Grounds, at Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), will mark the first time Indian football fans are able to engage with the Barclays Premier League in person.
BPL Live is a free, interactive experience designed for fans of all ages to enjoy. There is capacity for 12,000 supporters each day and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Matches to be screened live include City’s home game against Manchester City at King Power Stadium on Saturday 13 December.
BPL Live is about giving international fans the opportunity to experience the passion and excitement of Barclays Premier League matches and stadiums. The first BPL Live took place in Johannesburg, South Africa in April and was a big success.
In Mumbai, fans can take part in a number of activities at including:
The Live Match Zone – the main arena where fans will watch the live Barclays Premier League matches on a giant screen
The Trophy Zone – fans will be able to get up close with the Barclays Premier League Trophy
The Club Zone – supporters will be able to learn more about the 20 Barclays Premier League clubs, and through green screen technology, will be able to picture themselves lifting the Barclays Premier League Trophy decorated with the ribbons of their favourite club
The Screening Zone – supporters will experience the noise and excitement of a matchday before learning all about the winning teams and captains of the Premier League in this exclusive film
The Pitch Zone – there will be a mini-football pitch where Barclays Premier League clubs will be conducting skills sessions with local football teams, and there will also be the chance for young fans to have a game of football run by Premier League community coaches.
The Skills Zone – there are three football skills pods for supporters to test their accuracy, close control and shooting power.
Robbie Fowler and Peter Schmeichel will be in attendance to offer the crowds their pre and post-match insight on the live matches. The Premier League legends will also take part in coaching activities for local children and autograph-signing sessions.
