Leicester City Development Squad captain Tom Hopper has joined League 1 outfit Scunthorpe United on a one-month loan deal.
The 21-year-old striker, who signed a two-year professional contract with the Foxes in May, has already tasted the challenge of loan football having played 24 times for Bury in the 2012/13 season, scoring three times in the process.

Hopper made his first-team debut for Leicester in January 2012 in a 2-0 FA Cup Fourth Round victory over Swindon Town.

Since then, the promising attacker has featured two more times for the Foxes – Capital One Cup victories over Carlisle United and Derby County in late 2013 – and will now hope to help steer the Iron away from the League 1 drop-zone.

Should he feature, Hopper could face fellow Under-21s player Michael Cain when Scunthorpe travel to Walsall in the league on Saturday.
