Nigel Pearson has called for Leicester City to create the chances for Andrej Kramarić to be a success in the Barclays Premier League after he made his home debut on Saturday afternoon.
The new addition from HNK Rijeka in Croatia arrived at King Power Stadium to a warm welcome when he entered the fray as a second half substitute against Stoke City, but was helpless to prevent the Foxes going down 1-0 to a Bojan goal.

But having arrived with a goal scoring record that would be the envy of any striker, Pearson knows just what the Foxes have to do in order to help get their new man firing on all cylinders.

“He’s a finisher,” Pearson told Foxes Player. “So clearly we’ve got to be able to get him into that penalty area with enough quality to make the most of what he is about. That’s the challenge for us moving forward.

“It’s never going to be easy when he comes on in a losing position; you just hope that somebody of his qualities gets a chance. But we didn’t really create a great deal in the last half hour of the game.

“Other games in that last period, even when we’ve been in a difficult situation, we’ve put opponents under pressure and we didn’t do that. As I’ve said, you’ve got to give Stoke credit for that.

“It’s a disappointing result and there are aspects of our game where we know we can be better. That’s how it is and I won’t spend too much time dwelling on a disappointing result where we didn’t quite make things happen for ourselves.”
