While Leicester City are flying high in the Barclays Premier League, manager Claudio Ranieri says he isn’t looking past Saturday’s trip to Bournemouth.

The Foxes currently sit second in the league and are yet to suffer defeat in 2015/16 following a superb start to life under Ranieri.

The City boss, although happy to see his outfit begin their second consecutive season in England’s top flight on the front foot, says his men are pouring all of their efforts into putting some more points on the board and aren’t thinking about their current league position.

“I can smile but I said we must be very calm and continue to work hard because last season Leicester started very well and then suddenly they lost six or seven matches,” Ranieri said.

“That was a good experience for us. Now, we must stay calm and continue to fight. Our goal is to save Leicester and reach 40 points as soon as possible.

“Everybody is smiling, but it’s my job to remind everybody that in football there’s smiles and there’s bad moments. It’s important to remember now the bad moments so you have the right balance. When we lose, we remind them of the good moment.

“Everybody knows very well our moment – we’re playing well in good condition and we’re happy. It’s important. It will be a very tough match on Saturday. Very tough.”

On Saturday, the Foxes take on a Cherries side that have registered two wins on the bounce. An impressive 4-3 Premier League victory at West Ham United last Saturday was swiftly followed by a 4-0 win in the second round of the Capital One Cup against Hartlepool in midweek.

Ranieri added: “The next match is a difficult match. Bournemouth are a good team. They didn’t deserve to lose two matches against Liverpool and Aston Villa. They won at West Ham and now they want to beat us – it’s normal.

“I’ve watched two or three of their matches and they play well, they play very compact and very good. For us it will be a very difficult match.”
