Leicester City defender Liam Moore has joined Steve Cotterill’s Bristol City on loan until January.

The young centre half will link up with fellow City loanee Ben Hamer at a Robins side who last season won the Sky Bet League 1 title as well as the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Moore was most recently involved for the Foxes in their 4-1 Capital One Cup Second Round win at Bury’s Gigg Lane last week, having made 14 appearances in all competitions for City last term.

The Academy graduate knows the rigours of the Sky Bet Championship well having played a major part in City’s title-winning season in 2013/14, as well as spending time on loan at Brentford late last campaign.

A spell with the Bees also came in 2013, while his loan at Bradford City in 2011 eventually led to his first team debut for the Foxes in January 2012 against Crystal Palace.

Now, Moore will hope to help a Bristol City side who currently sit 20th in the table after five fixtures. He could first be involved when his new outfit travel to Birmingham City in the Championship on Saturday 12 September.
