Saturday saw Leicester City extend their unbeaten run to five games in all competitions with a 1-1 Barclays Premier League draw at Bournemouth’s Vitality Stadium.

August proved to be a fantastic month for the Foxes, who beat Sunderland and West Ham United in the league, while a 4-1 win in the second round of the Capital One Cup came either side of Premier League draws with Tottenham Hotspur and most recently Bournemouth.

It was Jamie Vardy who ensured City continued their unbeaten run last time out as the England international converted from the spot with just four minutes to play.

And for Morgan and his team-mates, not suffering defeat so far this campaign has left them in high spirits ahead of the first international break of 2015/16.

Morgan told Foxes Player HD: “It’s very important [to remain unbeaten], especially against the likes of Bournemouth.

“They’ve come up and I’m sure they’ll be challenging to survive relegation this season, so if we can pick up points against teams that might be at the bottom, that’s what we need to do.

“At the same time, it keeps our momentum going. We’ve got a break now, then we’ll prepare for the next game in a couple of weeks.”

Ahead of his side’s second consecutive term in England’s top flight, the City captain had a busy summer after performing for Jamaica in the Copa America before helping the Reggae Boyz reach the final of the Gold Cup for the first time in their history.

Morgan added: “It’s been non-stop all through the summer for me. It’s been constant football and I went straight into the season once I came back to Leicester, so it’s a welcome break for me.

“The manager has looked after me so far and he’s looked after me again in this international break, so I’m looking forward to it. I’m just going to keep my feet up!”
