Four Leicester City stars helped hundreds of members of the Blue Army get into the festive mood on Tuesday by putting the finishing touches to their Christmas shopping.

Shinji Okazaki, Nathan Dyer, Gökhan Inler and Ben Hamer all packed bags for Foxes fans throughout a busy afternoon at King Power Stadium’s City Fanstore.

Presents were wrapped, selfies were taken and autographs were signed as supporters were lucky enough to meet the stars that have made this Christmas an extra special one.

The Foxes will sit top of the Barclays Premier League on Christmas Day for the first time ever and the positive vibe at the Club was certainly on show on Tuesday as City fans prepared themselves for the festive period.

Winger Dyer said: “We’ve been doing really well so far so it’s good to give back to the fans. For them to see us in the shop helping pack some of their kits is great – it’s nice to see smiles on their faces just before Christmas.

“It’s great for the fans to meet some of the players. If I was a fan watching Leicester this season I would be absolutely buzzing at the moment. Nobody could have written this.

“As players we want to keep our heads down and concentrate on the next game. What happened last season to now is a massive boost for the Club, the players and also the fans because they see their club doing well and being talked about around the world.”

There was also an opportunity for fans to get their picture taken with the Premier League trophy while they filled their stockings with Leicester City merchandise.

Striker Okazaki added: “We are very happy and I think all the fans are very happy. The amount [of fans] here is amazing. In every game the fans are so positive.

“We hope to keep going. We have a good team and we’re like a family. It’s important that we have that. Winning or losing doesn’t matter. I love these fans.”

There was also an LCFC Foxes Foundation raffle in partnership with Barclays, who will matched funds raised up to £2,000 – all profits will go to the LCFC Foxes Foundation and their chosen charities for the 2015/16 campaign.
