Leicester City See Significant Increase in Social Media Followers

Leicester City experienced a huge increase in social media followers over the weekend, following the Barclays Premier League game at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Following victory at Etihad Stadium, which saw Leicester City go five points clear at the top of the Barclays Premier League, the Club experienced a surge in followers across their official social media accounts. 

According to the latest figures, Leicester City received the biggest increase in social media followers over the weekend, with the club seeing a combined increase of 12.59% (246,513) followers across their social media accounts. 

The increase in followers is broken down into the following: 

- 13.64% (199,090) new Facebook followers 

- 6.92% (21,852) new Twitter followers 

- 12.59% (25,571) new Instagram followers 

Along with the club’s official social media accounts experiencing an increase in followers and interaction over the weekend, individual players also saw an increase in social media followers, with goal scorers Riyad Mahrez and Robert Huth seeing a 4.92% (37,741) and 1.97% (3,552) increase respectively.
