Leicester City’s Under-18s battled to a 1-1 Barclays U18 Premier League draw at Sunderland on Friday 8 April.

It was the young Foxes’ second consecutive 1-1 draw, having recorded the same scoreline at Belvoir Drive against West Bromwich Albion before the international break.

It was England youth international Layton Ndukwu who found the back of the net against Sunderland to move City second in the U18 Premier League table ahead of a clash with Arsenal at Belvoir Drive.

Trevor Peake’s outfit have already faced the Gunners on two occasions this campaign, drawing 2-2 in London in October, before being beaten 3-1 at Belvoir Drive back in January.

A victory for City on Saturday against Arsenal could potentially move them within two points of U18 Premier League second phase leaders Middlesbrough ahead of their final game of the season against Aston Villa on Saturday 30 April.
