Leicester City captain Wes Morgan became the first player in the Club’s history to lift the Barclays Premier League trophy, after the Foxes’ clash with Everton at King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Jamaica international Morgan has been an ever-present for City in the Premier League this term, playing every minute of every game to skipper his side to one of the most remarkable achievements in sporting history.

Under the stewardship of the passionate Claudio Ranieri, the Foxes have been transformed from relegation favourites into Premier League champions with a blend of togetherness, resilience and footballing quality that simply no other side has been able to match.

Having held high the Championship trophy aloft two years ago, Morgan had the honour of lifting the Club’s first-ever top flight trophy at King Power Stadium in front of over 30,000 members of the Blue Army, who this season have been extraordinary in their support for their title-winning heroes.

With the fans’ backing and led by Morgan, City have produced some remarkable results this season, beating some of the best sides in the country to the most coveted prize in English football to turn their Premier League dream into a reality.

So to Wes, his team-mates, the manager, the Club’s staff and the magnificent Blue Army… Thank you and enjoy!
