After emerging with a point against Arsenal at King Power Stadium, Shinji Okazaki says it was a performance that had all the hallmarks of the last campaign.

The Foxes pressed the Gunners all over the pitch in their Premier League battle and certainly had the chances to win on the day as they created a host of opportunities, particularly in the second half.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez both went close but it wasn’t to be as the game ended goalless, though there were certainly positives to take from a match against a team that defeated City twice last term.

“[It was] A great game,” Okazaki told LCFC TV. “It’s very important for us because this game was a very tough match but we had good spirit and we played like last season. We were together.

“I think the last game was not so together in terms of pressing but we improved. We were so tight and together so when I was pressing, the team were pressing too.

“This is important to us. In the first half it was a good game and in the second half we wanted to win so we took a few more risks.

“Both teams took risks. If we’d have scored, we’d have won, if they’d have scored, they’d have won. This is football.

“Last season we didn’t get a point against Arsenal but it was a tough match and it’s important for us to get that clean sheet too.”
