Leicester City will head to Old Trafford on Saturday with the same fearless attitude that won them the Premier League title.

After an extra-time defeat to Chelsea in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, the Foxes will now resume their Premier League campaign at Manchester United.

Under Jose Mourinho, the Red Devils are aiming to record their 14th Premier League title, but City make the trip to Manchester in the aim of returning to Leicester with three points, according to Claudio Ranieri.

“We are fearless,” said Ranieri. “Why are we scared to go there? More than lose, what can we do there? I enjoy [the atmosphere]. Amazing, fantastic.

“When you play these big teams, you don’t have an advantage, you have to think about yourself and be strong, and that moment show your football. You hope for the bad moment and try to score a goal.

“We try to win. This is our philosophy, then if Manchester are better than us that is okay.”

A total of five Foxes - Wes Morgan, Danny Drinkwater, Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Andy King - that were involved in the 3-0 win over Burnley last weekend achieved promotion from the Championship with the Club during the 2013/14 campaign.

Meanwhile there are a number of players in the squad that have already competed in the UEFA Champions League and for Ranieri, the experience of having already contested a busy fixture schedule is of high value, as his side prepare to contest their fourth game in 11 days.

Ranieri added: “I think they help this kind of job. They are used to playing every three days. I watch them in the training session and they look very strong, very concentrated and motivated. It is good.

“In this moment we are pushing so hard to try to get better and of course our fitness is much better than one month ago when the season started and we are confident to continue to play well.

“Now we are in a good condition and I think we have to push and keep the momentum going and then we will see. We are working so hard and so well and we must continue in this way.”
