Leicester City’s Under-19s concluded their stay in Prague for the Generali Cee Cup with a 3-1 success over Akademija Pandev on Tuesday morning.

- A 22-man Leicester City squad return from the Generali Cee Cup with one last victory
- The young Foxes overcame Akademija Pandev in their 'ranking' fixture on Tuesday
- Thomas Fielding and two trialists scored for City in Prague earlier this week
- The Under-23s will now fly to France for the Tournoi European Des Centres

The young Foxes were forced to settle for second place in Group C at the weekend after an opening 1-0 victory over FC Nitra was followed by a 2-0 reverse to Sarajevo on Saturday.

It meant that City ultimately missed out on the chance to face eventual champions Everton in the semi-finals and set up an alternative ‘ranking’ fixture with Macedonian side Pandev.

Two trialists gave Trevor Peake’s men the lead before half-time at Stadion Ďolíček before Thomas Fielding made sure of the result in the 55th minute, following Hristijan Velinovski’s solitary strike.

City’s squad will return to the United Kingdom later this week before Steve Beaglehole takes a contingent of Under-23s to France for the prestigious Tournoi European Des Centres.

In Group A, City will take on both SM Caen and Standard de Liege on Friday 28 July in matches lasting 50 minutes at the Centre-Technique Bretagne in Ploufragan, northern France.

The following morning, Beaglehole’s men will contest their final group fixture against Stade Brestois.

Pools will then split into knockout rounds, where Leicester could be drawn against Paris Saint-Germain or English counterparts Tottenham Hotspur.
