Harry Maguire says Leicester City must aim to secure a points return from their positive displays following Friday evening’s narrow Premier League defeat to Arsenal.

- Harry Maguire spoke to LCFC TV after Leicester City’s 4-3 loss at Arsenal
- The Foxes were unfortunate not to get a point out of the game following two quick-fire goals
- Jamie Vardy scored twice, while Shinji Okazaki was also on target at Emirates Stadium
- Maguire wants City to respond when they face Brighton at King Power Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off)

The Foxes took the lead twice at Emirates Stadium, but could not hold onto their advantage as substitutes Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud secured a 4-3 win for the Gunners.

While naturally disappointed not to take at least a point from the clash, debutant Maguire knows City can build on their performance in the capital.

“It was obviously a great game for the fans to watch, but it’s disappointing for ourselves,” the defender told LCFC TV. “To come away to the Emirates and score three goals and concede four is disappointing, especially as a defender.

“We’ve got to take the positives out of the game. We went toe-to-toe with them for 90 minutes really and I don’t think many teams will come here and do that.

“We’ll work hard on the training ground now to work on our defensive display and build a base as a team. If you look at our performance throughout the game, we stuck to our game plan and hit them very well on the break.

“Vards (Jamie Vardy) was lively up top and Shinji [Okazaki] was getting in the holes so it was a positive performance but it was disappointing to come out of it with no points.

“We’ve got a tough first few games but we can take a lot of confidence from this knowing that we can go to the big teams and put on a performance.

“Hopefully in the coming games we’ll get a bit more luck and turn those positive performances into good points.”

For Maguire, Saturday’s fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion at King Power Stadium gives Craig Shakespeare’s men the chance to immediately bounce back.

We’ll dust ourselves down now and go again. We’ve got a big game on Saturday where we want to take maximum points from the game.

He added: “I’ve been looking forward to making my full debut for Leicester since I joined. Apart from the result it was a great game to play in for myself.

“I’m sure I’m going to play in some entertaining games with the team that we’ve got and we’ve got a good positive bunch.
