Leicester City midfielder Tom Lawrence has signed for Championship side Derby County for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old Wales international heads to Pride Park after a three-year spell with Leicester City, having signed from Manchester United in September 2014.

Lawrence made his Leicester City debut in a 1-0 FA Cup victory over Newcastle United in January 2015 while his first Premier League appearance came as a substitute in another win over Aston Villa a week later.

The winger played a total of four games for the Foxes while his development was aided significantly with loan spells at Rotherham United, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City and Ipswich Town.

His time on loan with Ipswich last season saw him find the net 11 times in 36 appearances, including some spectacular long range strikes.
