Pascanu Called Up By Romania U21s

Academy Player of the Season Alex Pascanu has been called up for Romania’s UEFA EURO U21 2019 qualifiers against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Switzerland next month.

- Alex Pascanu will join the Romania Under-21s once again next month
- The 18-year-old will be in contention for fixtures against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Switzerland
- Pascanu was named as the Club's Academy Player of the Season for 2016/17

Pascanu, 18, started for the Leicester City Development Squad against Manchester United on Monday afternoon and was also a key figure as they won the Hong Kong Citi Soccer Sevens in May.

The defender played the full 90 minutes in a 2-0 victory for Romania U21s over Liechtenstein in June.

The Tricolorii first face Bosnia & Herzegovina at the Nogometni Reprezentacije Complex in Zenica on Friday 1 September (5pm BST kick-off).

On Tuesday 5 September, Pascanu and his team-mates will then welcome Switzerland to Stadionul Central in Ovidiu (8pm BST) for their second clash in less than a week.
