Claude Puel says skipper Wes Morgan could return to the squad for this week's Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round tie with Sheffield United.

The Foxes host Chris Wilder’s men at King Power Stadium on Friday evening (7:45pm kick-off) and Puel delivered some welcome team news prior to the game during his pre-match press conference.

The Frenchman revealed that while Shinji Okazaki will miss out due to a knee problem, there is potential for Morgan to return to the matchday squad.

City’s No.5 has not featured since being withdraw early on during the 3-0 Premier League win over Huddersfield Town on New Year’s Day after picking up a hamstring problem.

Puel said: “For Okazaki, he won’t be available. It’s too early. Morgan can perhaps come back in the squad.

“Just Okazaki is not available for this game. All the squad is ready.”
